Health Plan Options

Representatives from General Board of Pension and Health Benefits attended each of the Northwest Texas district set-up meetings in August to explain the new Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP). The new plan will be offered in 2011 to all active participants on the conference health insurance plan.

Earlier this summer, Jon Stewart, comedian and host of The Daily Show, offered a story on the wedding of former first daughter Chelsea Clinton.
The reporter described the interfaith service which was officiated by a Jewish Rabbi and a United Methodist minister. Upon hearing the reference to the United Methodist pastor, Stewart responded. “Being a Methodist is easy. It’s like the University of Phoenix of religions: you just send them 50 bucks and click ‘I agree’ and you are saved.”
