Local Church Marketing Training

Communications Ministry Training Program will bring training in seven areas to you.

"Marketing is the process of the church identifying and meeting or contributing to the spiritual, community (sense of belonging) and service needs of its neighbors and surrounding neighborhood." - Overcoming Your fear of Flying

Local Church Marketing is one of the trainings offered through the Communications Ministry Training Program.

Local Church Marketing is designed to help the church to fulfill your church’s God-designed calling and purpose, to prosper and grow in the areas where God has uniquely gifted your church, to improve how you communicate with and impact the people you want to reach for the Kingdom and to be good stewards of church resources (time, energy, money, people and facilities) ensuring they are working together for your church to be most effective.

The training will help you put together a marketing plan team made up of church leaders who will carry out the homework and action steps to develop a marketing plan.

United Methodist Communications and the Northwest Texas Conference will be working together to bring this and a variety of training opportunities to the churches within NWTX Conference.

The Communications Ministry Training Program is a partnership of United Methodist Communications and the Annual Conferences of The United Methodist Church. Together, we will bring training to local churches in seven areas: Local Church Communications, Web Ministry, Our United Methodist Connection and Promotion of Giving, Rethink Church, Media Spokesperson and Crisis Communications, Welcoming and Local Church Marketing.

The Conference Communications Office will be working to put together a training team that will be available to conduct trainings throughout the Conference. We will be seeking requests for the various trainings and will work with districts to determine where and when to conduct trainings.

Highlights from the various trainings will be included in the NWTX Review and on the Conference website. Information about training sessions will be shared as it becomes available.
