The Golden Cross represents Christ’s healing presence in a hurting world. Funds from this special offering are directly distributed at the local conference level through the Golden Cross-Parish Nursing Committee. In addition to the offering taken each year for Golden Cross each church is also invited to develop a parish nurse/health ministry in the faith community of that local church.

Offerings will be used to:
- provide scholarships for basic training to individuals interested in providing parish nursing/health ministry to their congregations
- seed money to establish and grow parish nursing/health ministry projects
- support for conference parish nurse/health ministry consultation, education, and support services to clergy and congregations
