The Northwest Texas Camps offer a variety of camp experiences and activities for all ages. Here is additional information about each of our camps.
Young Elementary 2012 - June 11-13, 2012, Camp Butman
Young Elementary 3rd /4th camp is a great first time camp experience for kids. It offers all of the fun and excitement of camp in 3 short days, making it less traumatic for those who are not used to staying away from home. This year, the theme is “All You Need is Love”. Activities and teachings will be focused on 1st Corinthians 13. Kids will have the opportunity to swim, hike, play Bible games, meet new friends, shop in the gift shop, praise and worship and listen to and explore what the Bible says about loving each other.
Mid High 6-8 Camp – June 11-15, Camp Butman
We will focus on the Ten Commandments. Portions of the small groups will focus on Scripture memory as well as learning what each commandment means for their everyday life. We will again have craft time that fits the curriculum as well as our usual games and free time.
New Dawn 1 – June 11-15, Ceta Canyon
Camp New Dawn is a camp for mentally-challenged adults that have the ability of basic self-care skills and mobility. The campers are given the opportunity to go swimming, make crafts, go hiking, sing, enjoy Bible study with their group, make friends, and learn about God’s love. This year at camp we will learn more about the way Jesus wants us to live and to treat others by learning about the Beatitudes in Matthew 5:7-12.
New Dawn 2 – June 18-22, Camp Butman
New Dawn 2 is for adults with disabilities. The theme is “Soul Surfer” and Philippians 4:13. Our topic will be “Whatever Christ has for you to do, He will supply the strength”. There will be a tropical type décor followed. We will have the BACA motorcycle group come again. They have asked if they could cook for us also on that Tuesday Night.
OneWay 6/8 – June 18-22, Ceta Canyon
Camp is going to be great this year! We have tons of fun and fellowship planned. You are also guaranteed to learn more about your relationship with Jesus. When Jesus was calling the disciples to come and follow him, he instructed them to cast their nets to the depths or “bathos” and they would catch many fish. There is something about going “deeper” with Christ that all of us need to apply to our lives. Come to camp this year and dive into the deep end with hundreds of other kids from around the state.
OneWay 9/12 – June 25-29, Ceta Canyon
Camp will be a time of going deeper with God and your peers. Jesus tells us in the parable of the sower that our roots must have “bathos” or depth. If we don’t have that depth we will shrivel up and die when the sun comes out. Come learn what it means to go deeper with God as we worship, play, study, and fellowship together. It truly could be the best week of your life!
OneWay 4/5 – July 2-6, Ceta Canyon
The theme for One-Way 4/5 2012 is “A Heart for God”. Our theme is based on 1 Timothy 4: 12: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” During the week we will engage the story of the Shepherd King – David; who, as a young man, was called by God for a monumental task – leading God’s people as their king. The Bible tells us that David was a man after God’s heart. Through worship, small-group activities, music, games, and fellowship, we will discover together how we, too, can have “A Heart for God.”
Elementary OneWay Advance 4/6 – July 9-13, Camp Butman
Experience Jesus through Bible Bowl and Bible heroes who "come to life" each evening at worship! Discover new friends through hiking, games, the climbing rock wall, small groups, music and crafts! We can't wait to see you!
Sr. Hi OneWay Advance 9/12 – July 9-13, Camp Butman
2012 OneWay Senior High Advance Camp will be a place where high school youth can learn their identity in Christ and be empowered to live faithfully as his disciples. They will experience great teaching from a powerful speaker, be ushered into the very presence of God by our in-house praise team, learn practical ways to share the Gospel, experience new life challenges (such as a hunger meal), engage in lively discussions and Bible studies in a small group & enjoy much laughter and joy in crazy outdoor games each afternoon and evening.
Crossroads 7/9 – July 9-13, Ceta Canyon
Crossroads is a small-group based summer camp that challenges youth to grow in their faith through discussion with other youth as well as with adult volunteers. Crossroads has several opportunities each day to worship and praise God, and many times of fellowship with each other. This year the theme is “Do you see what I see?” We will spend the week discussing how we see the world, and how that’s different from how we are called to see it.
Vision 10/12 – July 9-13, Ceta Canyon
Vision camp focuses on Jesus’ teachings and uniquely on developing “eyes to see” (Luke 10:23) and how to receive that blessing from Jesus. Vision camp focuses on engaging students to open their eyes to see God’s vision for their life. There will be many opportunities for worship, prayer, games, fellowship, small groups and much more!
Whoz We R 2012 – July 23-27, Ceta Canyon
Whoz We R is an awesome opportunity for kids going into 4th, 5th, and 6th grade to explore a new relationship with Jesus or grow deeper in an existing one. This year we are going to cook up some fun as we explore the parables that Jesus told. Our theme will be Heaven’s Kitchen and kids will learn how Jesus used ordinary ingredients like soil and seeds, salt, yeast, wheat and fruit to teach us about everyday living here on earth. Whether participating in the telling of a parable or learning about and tasting the ingredient of the day, kids will not only learn what the parables mean but also how to apply the point of the stories to their own lived. In addition to the activities related to the theme, kids will have the opportunity to hike, swim, shop in the gift show and spend time with new and old friends.
Grace Camp 4/6 – July 30-August 3, Camp Butman
This is a special camp for children of incarcerated parents. Theme: Aliens, Astronauts, and Angels. Scripture is Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God…”
