PRESENTER INFORMATION
Rev. Dr. Jerry R. Lane is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, CeCertified International Prevention Specialist, Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor, Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, Certified Anger Resolution Therapist, and Parenting/Couple Communication Specialist. He has been a teacher and helped institute the Student Assistance Program for Pampa ISD for drug/alcohol awareness. Jerry has led workshops for Region 16 of Amarillo and led seminars throughout Texas and Oklahoma in Drug/Alcohol and was asked to be the guest speaker at the International Parenting Convention in Chicago. Rev. Lane is presently the pastor at White Deer United Methodist Church.
Anthony Inman is the Youth Director at St. Paul UMC with 18 years experience in youth ministry. He is a graduate of West Texas A&M University with a degree in Social Work. He volunteers his time as a social worker for Eastridge Elem, he is a board member of the Wesley Community Center in Amarillo, and co-founder of His Vision Eye Clinic, a free eye clinic for homeless and indigent people of Amarillo.
Maggie Garcia is an adoption counselor at Methodist Mission Home in San Antonio. She is a graduate of Texas Tech with a BS in Social Work. Maggie will share information on Decisions, CHoices and Options - a process for talking teens and their families through unexpected pregnancy.
Taiya Jones is a licensed social worker and Program Specialist in community health services for the Texas Department of State Health Services. SHe has three years experience as a case manager in rural communities. Taiya's presentation will be on "QPR" Question, Persuade, and Refer - three simple steps that can help sava life from suicide.
