MAY 4-6 "BOOT CAMP" FOR CHURCH PLANTERS WITH JIM GRIFFITH


MAY 3-4 PRE-DAY FOR SENIOR PASTORS ALONG WITH THE PLANTER

This basic training is specifically designed for pastors who are planting new churches in 2010 or for those who have recently planted a new church. Jim Griffith is the Founder of Griffith Coaching Network and a veteran of 6 church plants. Griffith will focus on assessing, training, and coaching new church starts. Some of the topics include: 10 Most Common Mistakes New Starts Make, How to Raise Money, Creating Ministry Alignment, 10 Reasons You Need a Coach.

 

Registration Fee $595 for the church planter; free registration for the planter's spouse. $295 each for additional persons from the new church accompanying the church planter. $295 each for District Superintendents or Annual Conference Staff. $295 each for returning alumni.

MAY 10-13 MAY SPRING PLANTING

Come take up your hats, and away let us haste to the Butterfly's Ball, and the Grasshopper's Feast. The Trumpeter, Gad-fly, has summon'd the Crew, and the Revels are now only waiting for you. (by William Roscoe, 1807) YOU are personally invited to a spring planting, so mark your calendars, and come one, come all... It's not on the smooth Grass, by the side of a Wood, but right here in your very own Mount Sequoyah Neighborhood!  Rates are $25.50 per person per day for meals. Lodging is provided at no cost. JUNE 27-29 ADDICTION CONFERENCE

Mount Sequoyah Retreat and Conference Center will host an Addiction Ministry Responders Conference. Presentations and activities will focus on the effects on family relationships and addictions regarding intervention, treatment, transitional living, and recovery. This conference equips clergy and congregations with community resources and response for families, congregations, and community. Gather for this 3 day event with other laity and clergy, who will equip themselves with the information and models to address addiction and substance abuse problems.

OCTOBER 18-22 LEAVES OF GOLD

This retreat features worship, fellowship, workshops, tours, laughter, learning and fun during the turning of the leaves to gold at Mount Sequoyah!  Bishop Richard Wilke will be the featured worship leader.  Come and experience the love and wisdom that Bishop Wilke has to share!  Workshops include Spiritual Journaling, English Paper Piecing, Nutrition, and a Military workshop. There will be a tour of the AR Air Museum, lots of music, an sharing on UMCOR Missions and lots more!

 

Program and Lodging registration: Single Occupancy Room and Meals $348 per person; Double Occupancy and Meals $258 per person; Spouse Program and Meals $233 per person; and Commuters (lunch Tuesday and Wednesday) $107 per person plus a $10 processing fee.  Registration Deadline is Oct. 10th. OCTOBER 25-28 AUTUMN TIME

Autumn Time is a wonderful experience featuring Worship, praise, fellowship, laughter and fun!  Workshops include Centering Prayer, Spiritual Journaling, Exercise, Nutrition Workshop,  Military Workshop and a tour of the AR Air Museum.  There will be a UMCOR Mission update about all that is being done to help all those who experienced disaster around the world this year.  There will be Old Time Hymn singing and praise time as well as free time and lots of opportunities to experience the diversity of the Fayetteville area during one of the most beautiful times of year, when the leaves are changing color. Much more is being planned!  Save the Date on your calendar to experience a time away from the normal week and a time of renewal and fellowship!
