General Conference rules changes proposed

Nashville, Tenn.: The Rules Committee of the Commission on the General Conference has announced their recommendations for changes to the Plan of Organization and Rules of Order which provides the governance structure for the 2012 General Conference. The changes will be presented to delegates for consideration at the opening session.

Resources for 9/11 observances

Starting Sept. 2, United Methodist News Service will begin offering resources for 9/11 worship and stories about the church’s response to the attacks 10 years later. The United Methodist Board of Discipleship also has put together worship resources for Sept. 11, which falls on a Sunday this year. The resources include prayers, litanies and music downloads.
