2010 Conference Health Insurance Rates Announced
The Conference Board of Pension and Health Benefits have announced the 2010 Health Insurance rates.
The monthly rates are as follows:
Active Clergy and Laity:
Clergy Single - $983
Clergy Family - $1,363
Laity Single - $746
Laity Family - $1,432
Retired Ministers, spouses and surviving spouses
Under age 62
Retired Clergy and Spouses under age 62 - Family-$1,363 Single-$983
Surviving Spouses under age 62 - $746
Retired Clergy and Spouses age 62 through 64 - Family-$681.50 Single-$491.50
Surviving Spouses age 62 through 64 - $373
Retired Clergy, Spouses or Surviving Spouses age 65 and over - $186*
*- This represents your portion of the health insurance premium.

In order for our conference to qualify for a rebate from Health Flex, we are required to have at least 60% of Active Participants and their covered spouses to complete the Health Risk Assessment on WebMD. You may access this questionnaire by visiting www.gbophb.com and clicking on Health Risk Assessment. This requirement is for Active pastors only. Retirees do not have to complete the questionnaire. HEALTH PLANS
BCBS PPO B1000 - Clergy and Lay
Provides comprehensive health benefits for eligible clergy and lay employees. This plan is mandatory for all full time clergy. Churches wishing to become a plan sponsor for lay coverage would call Jan Roberts at the Conference Service Center for more information. Their web site is www.bcbsil.com. BCBS - Medicare Companion - Clergy and Lay
Provides a companion health benefit for eligible retired clergy and lay employees who have medicare as their primary coverage. Their web site is www.bcbsil.com. Click here for for the summary information.

Medco Pharmacy - Clergy and Lay
Provides prescription drug benefits through a mail order service (Medco by Mail) for long term prescriptions or through a local pharmacy (retail). Their web site is www.medco.com Click here

United Behavioral Health - Clergy and Lay (Active and Retirees)

Vision Service Plan - Clergy and Lay

Medical Reimbursement Account (MRA) and Dependent Care Account (DCA) - Clergy and Lay

Wellness - Clergy and Lay
The Conference Board of Pension and Health Benefits provides a wellness screening at Annual Conference. The basic testing package is provided free of charge to all health plan participants.
